From Pau to Melbourne: how our saddles reached Australia

From Pau to Melbourne: how our saddles reached Australia

From our workshop in Bénéjacq, Cassou saddles are used by professionals far beyond Béarn. Australia holds a special place in this story: the relationship first developed through word of mouth, from rider to rider and trainer to trainer.

A reputation that travels with riders

In racing, trusted equipment is recommended among professionals. The Australian market grew in this way, while the workshop remained rooted in Béarn. Other international relationships were also established, notably in Hong Kong and Japan.

Meeting Australian professionals

Cédric Cassou and Jean-Baptiste Cassou-Debat travelled to Australia to nurture the commercial ties already established there. These visits allowed them to better understand the expectations of the professionals who use the equipment made in the workshop.

Made in Béarn for use on the other side of the world

Working remotely requires precise communication about measurements, the desired model, and its intended use. The same care is given to the production and finishing of every saddle, whether it is destined for a stable in the South-West of France or an Australian customer.

International expansion does not change what matters most: the components are still designed and made in Bénéjacq, in a family workshop where expertise is passed down and adapted to meet the needs of the field.
