Our history
From saddlery to horse racing.
At the end of the 19th century, a member of the family learned saddlery in Argentina before returning to set up his workshop in Béarn. From harnesses for draft horses and mountain donkeys to riding saddles, and then racing saddles, the craft has evolved with those who practice it. Today, the Cassou family makes equipment for trainers and jockeys in Bénéjacq, in France and abroad.
François Cassou earned the title of Best Craftsman of France in saddlery in 1982. The company's expertise was recognized with the Living Heritage Company label in 2020. In the workshop, these skills continue to be passed down from generation to generation.
